The Nature Spa at La ferme du Colvert
Everything is made from bamboo, wood and pink granite stones from the area, in a stilt house, on the edge of the stream, in the heart of the Muong land, located in Hoa Binh region, our Spa Nature’s goal is about actualizing the Muong traditional cares.
Built on 1 acre area, this new beauty center, surrounded by water and rice fields, nearby the hot water sources in the mountainous area of Hoa Binh, is equipped:
- One swimming-pool, two hammams, a jacuzzi.
- One beauty salon, three massage rooms, two tea rooms
- One bar and restaurant… in the middle of these spaces dedicated to relaxation, meditation, yoga classes…
- All this in a our luxuriant gardens, and our numerous streams, ponds, and lakes in a 25 ha site of green and water of la ferme du Colvert
Having access to the old natural traditions of the area, our motto « East meeting West » tries to mix the acknowledge of the Europeans and the devoted and gifted spirit of the Asians concerning body cares. Our therapists, Muong women have been praticing, for years now, their old know-how about body and Spa cares. The secrets of massage and Muong cares have been inherited from mothers to daughters for generations, using exclusively natural ingredients as leaves
The stays at la ferme include sporty exercices, leisure activities, Well-Being sessions, professional treatments, and healthy food. Not only Spa cares are offered at la ferme, but also are proposed massage ans Spa cares classes, given by professionals, in company of our Muong therapists.
Ingredients used in our Nature Spa at La ferme du Colvert:
- Rice - Gao: Head in the sun, feet in the water - the rice of Asia, as well as it’s dietary benefits, holds the fertility of the soil within itself. Rich in Vitamin B, iron....germinated rice has a hydrating and nourishing oil which is great for regenerating the system; the flour or starch possess nutritive and absorbing properties.
- Rice wine - Ruou : Still made in the same way by the country folk today, as in olden days, rice wine holds anaesthetic and disinfecting properties. Obtained from distilling rice and other cereal crops, Ruou, with it’s 40% vol alcohol content, is surprisingly beneficial for the skin! Rich in Vitamin B, iron, zinc….it is a great system energiser. It is used in our toning and stimulating treatments to throughly cleanse the skin, as well as the blood and vascular systems.
- Coconut - Dua: Known as the Tree of Life, the coconut tree is a must-have for day-to-day life. Nothing need be wasted, it’s filament, palms, husks can all be used....it’s white flesh, grated, hydrates - coconut butter is both cosmetic and edible. It’s oil nourishes both the skin and the hair and it’s pulp protects the body’s cells.
- Eucalyptus - Bach Dan ou Tram: Eucalyptus, stimulates the circulation and aids the decongestion of the respiratory airways. It is used in our hamman concoction, immersed with other leaves and aromatic herbs..all rich in vitamins. It’s also a soothing, purifying and penetrating plant for the lungs and pores of the skin, inviting one to relax and totally unwind.
Hot pebbles and stones - Cuoi va Da hun nong: Hot pebbles and an oiled body, all that’s needed for a purifying and detressing massage, which uses gliding movements....creating vasodilation of the blood vessels - the heat increases the metabolism and accelerates the heartbeat....
