Our sailboat ‘..The Star of the Seas..’ (Sao Bien in Vietnamese).
A new star on Halong Bay
Tradition - Charm - Comfort
Nothing is comparable to the magic of Halong Bay, with it’s gentle sunrise....waking up amongst a thousand little islands and lucid waters....
....and in this little bit of heaven a star was born - it’s our sailboat ‘..The Star of the Seas..’ (Sao Bien in Vietnamese), offering you the chance to experience the amazing Halong Bay in all it’s glory - on your private boat, between islands and The Chinese sea. Beautiful coves, lucid waters, walks and outings....off the beaten track....and onboard spa treatments.
Far from the maddening crowds, this jewel of the sea....simple and traditional, respects our concepts of ‘..Small and Beautiful..’ and Nature - Charm - Conviviality - Comfort. In a small group, on your junkboat, in mid-bay - day and night. Various options from ½ a day (2-14P) to 7 days (2-10P) - We have other sailboats if you are a larger group.
Schedule: Seaside walks - ‘..Get into shape..’ - Vietnamese cooking and Crustaceans - Cruise and visits - Site discoveries - Floating villages, meeting fishermen, fish markets....Sports activities: Kayaking, fishing, canoeing, diving, walks, by bicycle or motorbike around the islands....choose between navigating, swimming and outings to the backcountry of Halong, on the little island of Dao Ha Nam..in the land of shrimp breeders and junkboat builders. Beautiful countryside with historical vestiges from the Ly and Tran dynasties of the X and XI century.
With a length of some 20-25m, cabins of 2-3 bunks + fans, showers and WCs, our boat is equipped with a kitchen and living /dining room space, for your comfort and recreation. Outside there is a large sundeck made of beautiful, exotic wood and sails which billow in the gentle breeze, reminding one of the 1992 film « Indochine », starring the famous French actress, Catherine Deneuve.
