10. Road to Ha Long. 220km. In an Easterly direction, towards The Chinese sea. The Northen Delta offers the best sights of the local people and their land, through the Bac Giang and Quang Ninh provinces. Hotel near the sea.

11. Cruise. Morning boarding for the cruise. Walk on Cat Ba Island where islanders are regulated by fishing. Seafood meals. Night under the stars in mid-bay.

12. Ha Long - Hanoi. Magnificant sunrise on the bay. Swimming and beaches....Disembark. Return to Hanoi - 160km by car. Hotel in the heart of the Old quarter.

13. Ha Noi. Guided day visit around Ha Noi. Return flight back to Paris.

14. Paris. Arrival.

Practicalities:

Treks without transport - intermediate level of 4-6 hr 4x4/per day. On, sometimes difficult, mountaineous tracks or back roads. Mountain passes rising to an altitude of some 751km (incline averaging at 6.3%, even 9-10%). From May – September in the monsoon season, therefore must becareful of the heat and exhaustion. Advice: trip for experienced drivers. Training and practical skills driving on all types of terrain required. Need to have a good physical condition and without any particular health problems.
