VNA 11. Walks and Nature Spa
Made of bamboo, wood and/or local rose stone, on stilts or by the water’s edge, in the heart of Muong country in Hoa Binh. Here is our suggestion, which combines walks and fitness in our natural and beautiful village spa.
La ferme du Colvert, with it’s colours of nature, is becoming more and more a place dedicated to relaxation and well-being. La ferme offers everything - architectural refinement, traditional oriental treatments, gourmet asian cooking, folk performances....whatever you enjoy, you will find it here.
We welcome you to our <<Nature Spa>>, with it’s beauty and massage care - medicinal leaves, exotic flowers, tropical fruits, aromatic herbs....
In an idyllic setting of Orchids, Keo and Papyrus trees - you will find our traditional perfumed hamman, where we celebrate Tet - the Vietnamese New Year and the arrival of Spring each year.
Some of the fresh and natural ingredients used in our Spa treatments at La ferme du Colvert:
- Ginger - Gung: Herbaceous root plant, grows like a charm in our garden; renowned for it’s therapeutic properties and used in traditional cooking. Naturally warming, exuberant, rich in yang energy. Ginger is used in our energising massages and in our treatments for stimulating the circulation and hair growth.
- Green Tea - Chè Xanh: This plant originates from China. Taoism considers Green Tea an ideal communion between nature, pleasure and freedom. This also grows like a charm at La ferme....Rich in tannin and polyphenols, it delays the signs of aging. Green Tea is used in our body massages for absorption (adding Vitamins B1, B2..), aiding the immune system and the nervous and digestive systems alike.
- Lemongrass - Sa: Herbaceous root plant, grows like a charm in our garden; renowned for it’s beauty properties and used in traditional cooking. Infused, Lemongrass refreshes, facilitates the digestion and is calming; it also keeps mosquitoes at bay. It releases an essential oil when ground, which is both strong and aromatic. Lemongrass is used in our body massages (adding vegetable oil..), to alleviate migraines and sinusitis, cleansing the skin and relaxing the senses.
- Papaya - Du Du: Originally from the West Indies, this delicious fruit also grows well in our garden; renowned for it’s beauty properties and used in traditional cooking. It’s flesh nourishes and alleviates digestive problems and the juice of the papaya cures warts and corns on the feet - the leaves are also known for their disinfectant properties....the pulp of the papaya, mixed with avocado, carrots and tomatoes, being rich in Vitamins A, C, iron and calcium, protects the cutaneous barrier and are anti-aging....
